Thailand E-Visa

UAE citizens get 30 days visa-free (extendable by 30 days). UAE residents need a visa based on their passport nationality.

If you are not eligible for visa-free entry or a Visa on Arrival (VoA), you must obtain a tourist visa before traveling to Thailand. A standard tourist visa typically allows a stay of up to 60 days and may be valid for 3 or 6 months from the date of issue.

• Visa requirements are determined by your passport nationality:

  • Visa-Free Entry: Citizens of over 50 countries (e.g., Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, South Africa, USA, UK) can enter visa-free for stays up to 30 days (some may qualify for longer under bilateral agreements).

  • Visa on Arrival (VoA): Nationals of approximately 20 designated countries (see list below) can obtain a VoA upon arrival in Thailand for a stay of up to 15 days.

  • Pre-Arranged Visa Required: If your nationality is not included in the visa-free or VoA categories, you must obtain a visa in advance. Options include Single-Entry (valid for one trip) or Multiple-Entry (valid for several trips within the visa validity period) visas.

Only GCC citizens can use an Emirates ID copy + sponsor’s NOC. Others need a passport + visa.

Typically 2–5 working days. Check embassy holidays for delays.

Nationals of the following countries can apply for a 15-day Visa on Arrival:

• Africa: Namibia, Seychelles, Tunisia

• Americas: Bolivia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay, Venezuela

• Asia: Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Taiwan, Uzbekistan

• Europe: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Malta, Romania, Russia, Serbia

• Middle East: Cyprus, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia

• Oceania: Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu
